Head Coach Aaron GreenHead Coach - Aaron Green

Coach Aaron Green comes to Oak Ridge from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville where he coached under Head Coach, Bruce Pearl. Green was on staff with the Vols since the summer of 2009 as the Video Coordinator/Information Specialist.  One year on the history making UT staff came after two seasons as a graduate manager.  Prior to his experience at UT, he spent seven seasons as head coach at Cleveland High School (TN).  While at Cleveland, he average 22 wins with an overall record of 153-72.  Coach Green took  Cleveland High School basketball to a new level with a record six 20-wins seasons.

He is a native of Sweetwater, TN where he was a key player at Sweetwater High School.  In 1994, Green helped to lead their team to a AA State Championship, and was named the tournament MVP.  After high school, he player collegiate basketball at UT where he left ranked 6th in career three pointers.

Green graduated from UT with an undergraduate degree in History and a Master’s in education while also earning a second master’s in sports management. In addition he earned his PreK-12 Licensure Certificate in Education Administration from UT.

Green and his wife, Paige, have a daughter, Kannon, and a son, Kutler.

JV Head Coach / Assistant Varsity Coach - Jeremy Carringer

Coach Carringer has been coaching at the high school level and the junior college level for six years. He began his coaching career at Lenoir City High School in 2002, where he was the junior varsity coach and a varsity assistant coach for the boy’s basketball program. In 2006, he took a new position at Roane State Community College, as the men’s assistant basketball coach. In 2008, he became the boy’s basketball junior varsity coach and boy’s varsity assistant at Hardin Valley Academy. In 2009, Coach Carringer took a position at Oak Ridge High School as a varsity assistant with the boy’s basketball program.

Coach Carringer graduated from Tennessee Technological University with a B.S. degree in Health and Physical Education, K-12. He is currently pursuing his master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and he will graduate in December of 2010. His current teaching position is at Robertsville Middle School, where he teaches physical education.

Coach Carringer was recently married in June 2009 to his wife Jessica. She is a kindergarten teacher at Fairview Elementary in Anderson County. Coach Carringer and his wife currently live in Lenoir City with their three dogs.
